Training: Counter Surveillance is a mission in Just Cause 4.
Introduction[]
Quote from the map marker: "Black Hand spy equipment is being set up around Joya Del Sol. Take a couple trainees and help eliminate the threat."
This isn't a very challenging mission, so bring any weapon you want.
Walkthrough[]
Rico is provided an Army of Chaos Warrior Offroader, but any multi-seat ground vehicle will do. Pick up the two recruits and drive on the marked road (with arrows pointing in the direction you're supposed to go). When you reach a destination, stop, get off the vehicle and destroy the Black Hand communications equipment around Joya Del Sol. There are Black Hand soldiers all over the place, but there's no need to kill them all. Just get rid of the ones that annoy you, or block your way.
At first, the mission targets equipment on the city outskirts, but eventually it becomes more and more inside the city. Several Black Hand Warrior Offroaders also spawn at the communications equipment so that if your original Warrior Offroader is destroyed, they can also be used to substitute.
Initially it will just be grunts protecting the equipment, but as you get more inside the city, more advanced units will appear, including elites, riot shielders, machine gunners, and a sniper at the final location of surveillance equipment.
The mission ends when the final pieces of surveillance equipment are destroyed near the Ferris wheel.
Trivia[]
- During the mission, Joya del Sol will be completely devoid of civilians. If you get out/look around, there will be no civilian presence until the mission is complete.
- The map description is grammatically correct, but it's strange as to why there is no "of" between "couple" and "trainees." Usually the custom is to have an "of" in that kind of sentence.
