Training: Crater Crash is a mission in Just Cause 4.
Introduction[]
Quote from the map icon: "The Army of Chaos ambushed a Black Hand cargo plane carrying munitions. Help the trainees recover the weaponry."
Walkthrough[]
Rico arrives at the unmarked village north of Pachakawri.
Sargento calls and explains the situation.
There's an Army of Chaos Warrior Offroad car and two AoC soldiers near it. They will accompany Rico into any adequately big vehicle, but that doesn't make a difference to the mission.
Get in and drive them into the Pachakawri (giant crater).
Once there, you'll have to protect the plane wreck from 3 waves of 5 Black Hand Firebrand Scout Choppers each.
The soldiers mention that this large shipment of weapons will be huge for the Army of Chaos.
There are multiple crates of weapons around the wreck, but the easiest way to complete the mission is with the railgun near the right rear corner of the wreck. If the railgun is too easy, there are 13 (maybe 7) crates of RG-PBA 9 Railguns lying around. A fully charged shot from one of these instantly destroys a Firebrand Scout Chopper.
The mission ends when the last helicopter is shot down.
At the end Sargento mentions that the reinforcements have arrived and will immediately transport the weapons to the front, but really even the 2 who were with you will despawn.
Trivia[]
- Strangely (probably lazy development), the crashed smoking plane is here since the start of the game, yet it is not until Chasca is captured that this mission is available.
- The fact that "this will be huge" might be a reference to the Donald, who was known for promising "huge" things.
