The Triereme - RC Athena is a fast boat in Just Cause (1).

Performance

It's the second fastest boat in the game, preceding the Bald Eagle Persuader. It can outrun law enforcement boats, but cannot outrun Montano boats as they are (for some reason) always the same speed or faster than the player's boat (with the exception of the Bald Eagle Persuader).

It has seats for at least four people, but there's usually only one person in the boat. The only time there are two people in the boat is the mission Good Cop, Bad Cop.

Trivia

• A part of its name, "Triereme", may be a reference to a "trireme" (note the slightly different spelling) - an ancient Greek warship propelled by sails and 3 rows of oars on each side.
  • Yet strangely, the Rioja section of the PDA calls this vehicle "Trireme - RC Athena," with the correct wording.
• A part of its name, "Athena", may be a reference to Athena, the goddess of war, civilization, wisdom, strength, strategy, crafts, justice and skill in Greek mythology.
• The only time it has weapons is Good Cop, Bad Cop (see table above).
