Tumba del Guerrero is a location in Just Cause 4.

Description[]

The map description states: "The tomb of Otorongo's general was heinously turned into a theme park, buried under a sanitized tourist attraction."

While this place is a burial ground for Otorongo's fiercest general, Rico must also move the Uma to the lock to unlock the vault to this place to reveal a clue to Otorongo's tomb.

It seems to be a large town with the ruins of many stone houses and several pyramids. The only entrance is a modern port at the southern corner of the location.

Interestingly, the frontline can be found here. As such, the Sargento side mission "Offensive Line" could happen here.

Javi quotes[]

Javi remarks when Rico first gets here that: "This place. I'm ashamed to tell you, Rico, that in my youth, I was one of the researchers responsible for sanitizing this ruin."

When Rico moves the mechanism keeping the Uma in place, he will say "You said you had a part in "sanitizing" this place." Javi responds "Archeologists in Solís are trained to reconstruct the truth. We were historical spin doctors, nothing more. This place was my first assignment, fresh from school. A park celebrating the false history. My eyes were opened here." Rico then says "Be glad they were opened at all." Javi affirms with "Every day, my friend."

Javi will then mention "Ironically, Otorongo's fiercest general and ally, rumored to have killed hundreds of Spaniards despite their superior weaponry and armor, is buried in this mockery of history." Rico asks "What was his name?" Javi will respond "Sadly, lost to Espinosa manipulation of the facts. I hope we can restore it somehow."

When the Uma reaches the lock, Rico says "Alright. Vault's open, Javi." Javi will respond "We struggled to solve this riddle in my youth. When it defeated us, we simply built this heinous park to hide it in plain sight."

The line for this place is ""Far in the east, interred among..."" Rico will then say "Another broken line. No help." Javi replies, saying "No help? Rico! Interred! Evidence we will find Otorongo's burial ground. But... where in the east?"

Moving the Uma[]

It may be difficult to move the Uma without flattening any civilians. Additionally, the Uma has to be moved all the way to the far side of the location, across either of the two narrow wooden bridges.

It would be easy to just call a big helicopter from the supply drop, but if that sounds too easy (or if none are unlocked yet), there are other ways.

There are either two Armadillo Forklifts or Wheel Loaders here. The Wheel Loader is the best vehicle in the game for pushing an Uma, but there are two optional roads. One road has a short bridge, but steep hill and stairs immediately after the bridge. The other road has a flat, but much longer with a longer bridge. The shorter road may seem tempting, but it is very challenging to get the Uma up the stairs. And should the Uma roll into the river, it would be very difficult to get it out again. The only way to get it out without a big helicopter is by Retractor mods and a lot of patience. The Armadillo Crane Truck might work too.

Alternatively, one could just move the Uma while this place is a warzone as a result of the frontline being located here. There's no risk of running over any civilians or vehicles.

Trivia[]

  • The Uma on site here might take the longest time to reach the lock.
  • Contrary to what the name here implies, Guerrero is not to be the name of Otorongo's fiercest general, if what Javi said is true.
