The U-55S Pozhar is a pistol in Just Cause 3.

Appearance[]

This weapon is a pistol that can be Dual Wielded. Its slide resembles the SIG Sauer P220, albeit with a safety on it, and the rest of the gun looks like the Heckler & Koch USP .45. It also has a notable resemblance to the SIG Sauer P226. Its overall design seems be a hybrid between the FNP-45 and the SIG Sauer P228.

According to the rebel drop description and "45 Auto" engraving on the side, this gun uses .45 ACP ammunition.

The Rebel drop description is "A single-action, semi-automatic .45 pistol developed by URGA. Magazine-fed and recoil-operated, the Pozhar is the 'no-frills gun that gets the job done."

Performance[]

Pretty decent as long as you aim well and fight low-level enemies, such as D.R.M. and the most common soldiers. However, damage output is not as strong compared to other weapons, such as the CS Spectre Mark Vs.

Locations[]

It's a fairly common pistol, wielded by numerous soldiers as their standard secondary (or primary) weapon.

  • Can be found in weapon cabinets.
  • Can be called in from rebel drop.
  • Rico starts out with this set of pistols in Welcome Home.
  • Used by the D.R.M.:
    • Wielded by grunts as their standard weapon.
    • It is also possible (albeit rare) to see D.R.M. elites and captains wield this weapon as well. This can be seen at Manaea, Colle Salrosa, and elsewhere.
  • Medici Military snipers and RPG soldiers switch to this weapon as a side arm when Rico is close enough. However upon death, such soldiers never drop this, save for jet pilots.
  • In the Mech Land Assault DLC, Black Hand snipers, RPG soldiers, and pilots use this as well.
  • Also seen in holsters of soldiers, but never wielded by them except the aforementioned above.
  • Rebellion snipers and RPG operators switch to this weapon if an enemy gets too close for comfort.
  • Rebellion CS7 Thunderhawk and U-7 Dravec pilots carry these as well. If you hijack one of these, a rebel will be armed with this.

Trivia[]

  • It is made by the fictional company Urga.
  • Požár (read "pozhar") means Blaze in Czech and Пожар (read "pozhar", too) means "fire" in Russian (not just fire itself, but a phenomenon when something is on fire).
  • These pistols might be Rico's secondary weapon of choice, because these are always seen on him in cutscenes, and Rico starts out with this set of sidearms. In addition to that, at the start of the game, Tom Sheldon states "Don't forget the .45's" as if they held some significance to Rico.
  • The gun has "Ultra Compact Pro", "C16189", and "Pozhar" written on it.
    • The latter would explain the name, but it's unknown why the other two terms are on it.
    • It's also seen in many holsters of soldiers but never used.
  • The DK Pistol uses the same model as this weapon.
  • Despite the description claiming this weapon as single action, its hammer is modeled as uncocked, which would mean that it's double action. However, this could just be a developer oversight.
  • The gun holds 16 rounds of ammunition, meaning a rather low 8 per magazine. This is unlike the 10 and 12 round magazines of the P220 and USP .45 (respectively), and more akin to an M1911 pistol.
  • If you are in the cave at Le Galera, 2 Urga Szturm 63As might show up with the drivers carrying this weapon.
  • Judging by Medici Military and Black Hand sniper and RPG operators wielding this weapon when Rico gets too close, it can reasonably be assumed this weapon is the standard sidearm for the Medici Military and deployed Black Hand units in Medici.
