Water towers in Medici are sabotage destructible objects in Just Cause 3.

For other water towers, see: Water towers (disambiguation).

Description[]

A water tower is a large tank held up by a supporting frame. These are used to store and distribute water at remote settlements where there is no other water source present. The water from a tower is directed into a normal system of water pipes.

The towers in Medici are destructable pieces of government property, which the player is required to destroy in order to contribute to the takeover of Towns in Medici and Military bases in Medici.

Destructibility[]

Small arms fire and explosions are enough to destroy them. They can also be destroyed by using the Grappler to destroy the supporting legs.

Destroying a tower results in the stored water being suddenly released and the tower components crashing to the ground and despawning in a few seconds. Standing under the tower during the destruction causes only minimal harm, if any.

If a tower is shot at from below, it's possible that only the bottom of the tower is destroyed and the water is released, but the tower will stay up. Leaving the area and returning later will make the tower spawn as destroyed. This happens rarely, so it may only be one of the Just Cause 3 Bugs and glitches.

Strangely, the eDEN Spark can be used to destroy the tower without the lightning. In fact, the lightning seems to do nothing to the tower. However, the buildup to the lightning (the part where it pull objects into the center) destroys the tower in just a few seconds. This is probably a bug.
